OUR STORY
EOV was founded by a veteran named Randy and the help of his two sons. Randy observed that many veterans lacked essential items after transitioning from homelessness. They had housing but were without the comforts of home. Determined to help, Randy reached out to his community for donations of gently used household items. Accompanied by his sons, he collected these donations and distributed them to fellow veterans. What started as a weekend activity became well-known over several years. In 2014, Randy's wife Tina formalized the initiative into a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization named Embracing Our Veterans.
It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. Embracing Our Veterans is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and dedicated volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals.
As of today, EOV has been covering the Crawford and Erie County area. EOV is a 501(c) (3) Public Charity providing referral resources to veterans and their families for services they may not otherwise qualify for through traditional means.
We have built a trustworthy network of service providers, which include businesses, veteran organizations, individuals and many other civic organizations to help and work with our homeless veteran community by providing services/products at absolutely no cost.
